Members of the Mahaska County Solid Waste service area include all cities and the unincorporated area of Mahaska County; and three industries (Cargill, Inc, Ajinomoto, Inc, and Heartland Lysine, Inc) in Monroe County, the part of Eddyville that is Wapello County, and the City of Corydon in Wayne County. The planning area serves the residents, as well as the industrial and commercial establishments in the service area.
